UPS Issue

On New Years Eve 2017, one of the directors of Wateline Media noticed a fault on their APC UPS, eager to get this rectified before production works resumed after the holiday period, he searched the Internet for UPS technical support.

The Solution


Emergency Diagnosis

Waterline Media contacted UPS Power Services for some technical assistance and although not under a traditional service contract, the on call engineer assisted in diagnosis of the fault on the APC Smart UPS.

Waterline Media had already purchased a replacement battery from the UPS Power Services online store in anticipation, but our engineer suggested there maybe further repairs required.


Engineer Support

We offered an engineer attendance to site for further diagnosis and repair, a returns option for repair at our workshop or a new replacement Tripp-Lite UPS with warranty, which could be delivered from UK stock immediately.

Based on the age of the original APC UPS and costs of engineer callout for repair, Waterline Media chose to invest in a new UPS to safely support their critical business infrastructure moving forward into the future.

When the UPS arrived our technical team supported the client with a few queries on installation and Waterline Media were fully protected to continue business at the beginning of 2018.  The purchase of the APC replacement battery was credited in full.
